Simulation Center for Health Science Programs​

The Simulation Center for Health Science Programs provides a dynamic, educational, and realistic technological approach to patient care through innovation, high-fidelity mannequins, and collaborative approaches.

The ​Simulation Center is located in Room 2500 and includes Skill Lab Rooms fully equipped to practice all clinical skills on sophisticated manikins. All skills labs can be video monitored and recorded. All health science programs have an opportunity to participate in the SIM Center, with uses varying per program. 

Simulation is an essential learning experience for students. They can practice on manikins and use equipment in a realistic environment to ensure they are well-prepared to work in clinical settings.

Mission of the Simulation Center
The mission of the Simulation Center is to provide Innovative Health Science Training through Simulation, changing Lives One Simulation at a Time.

The Saint Paul College Simulation Center offers learning opportunities for novices and professional providers through modernization of technological simulation. It enhances individual/ therapeutic knowledge and advanced care management to benefit an assorted population of constituents, including students, business/industry/labor, and the medical municipal.

 

New Health and Science Alliance Center
The new Health and Science Alliance Center includes a new Simulation Center. The new Simulation Center has 3 ICU beds, 1 Operating Room Center, 1 Pharmacy Technician Center, 1 Med-Surg with Isolation Room Center, 1 Long term Transition Care Center, 1 Physician Office Center. It will simulate a hospital and long-term care setting fully equipped to practice all clinical skills. This new design is equipped with state of the art high fidelity and low fidelity mannequins, The center has two High Fidelity Sim Man, One High Fidelity ISTAN​​, on​e high fidelity SimMan 3G® manikins, one high fidelity SimBaby® manikin and one SimNewB® manikin. A Med-Dispense system will be available in the Pharmacy Technician Center, allowing medications to be dispensed through simulation-based studies.
