Commission will identify promising practices and innovative solutions to improve college readiness and access.

Dee Dee Peaslee, EdD, President of Saint Paul College, has been appointed to the American Association of Community Colleges’ (AACC) College Readiness Commission. The commission is composed of CEOs and administrators from AACC member institutions. It advises the AACC and the AASA – the School Superintendents Association. The commission provides leadership at joint meetings, identifies promising practices for increasing college-going rates, and assists in developing programs to strengthen relationships between superintendents and college presidents.

President Peaslee brings a wealth of experience to this commission. As the first woman president in Saint Paul College’s 114-year history, she champions a student-ready campus culture, prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and led the college through a successful reaccreditation process. Her dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment aligns with the AACC’s mission of providing accessible and affordable education for all students. This appointment underscores Saint Paul College’s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to preparing students for success in post-secondary education and beyond.
