Program Overview

The human resource professional, in any organization, plays a strategic role in the success of the organization. A human resource professional needs to be competent in human resource knowledge, able to facilitate change, have personal credibility which includes trust and confidentiality, and the understanding of how a business operates. Graduates may be employed as a Human Resource Specialist, Benefits Specialist, Compensation Analyst, Recruiter, Training and Development Coordinator, Human Resource Generalist, or Human Resource Assistant.

The Human Resources Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree is intended for students who desire immediate employment upon graduation, or who plan to transfer to another institution of higher education.

​The Human Resources Certificate program is designed for an individual who desires to enter the Human Resources field with a general grounding in Human Resources within a short period of time. The certificate program is transferable to the Human Resources AAS program.
