Hands-on learning.
The majority of class time is spent working with tools and equipment. First semester is spent in the shop learning tool familiarity. Second and third semesters are spent on-site learning practical application.
A modern construction shop.
Students have access to a modern construction shop, equipped with modern tools and equipment used in the construction trade.
Four-day class week.
Learning takes place both in the school shop and on a job site, taking advantage of a four-day school week allowing more personal time.
Versatility of career options.
In addition to commercial and residential building and remodeling, the program teaches the fundamentals that can be used for a career in sales, building inspections, and project management to name a few.
