Saint Paul College Scrubs Camp is a healthcare career exploration camp for high school students that was held at Saint Paul College from July 25-28th, 2016. It is dedicated to promoting health careers among young people in order to meet an ever increasing demand for healthcare providers in the state. Students from the Twin Cities were given an opportunity to learn directly from healthcare professionals while participating in hands-on activities in a variety of healthcare fields including stem cells, nutrition & wellness, nursing, respiratory care, medical lab technician, public health, aging, emergency medicine and many more.

Not only did the Saint Paul College Scrubs Camp offer students the chance to explore the world of medicine inside the classroom, but field trips allowed for a diverse summer camp experience. Students visited Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and learned about prosthetics and Adaptive Neural Systems, and explored HealthEast’s Medical Transportation Center and emergency medicine.

Saint Paul College Scrubs Camp, created by HealthForce Minnesota, thanks its supporters for helping provide this opportunity for students. In addition to community and partner support, a number of organizations donated scholarships to help students attend.
