A new global survey of Human Resources (HR) professionals indicates that workers in the “People Profession" find their jobs meaningful with doorways to career advancement, earning potential, and increased happiness.

The 2020 People Profession Survey* looked at how respondents feel about their jobs, how easy it is to get into the profession, make a living, and advance your career.

According to US respondents, 95% believed that their career within the people profession is meaningful. Nearly 9 out of 10 (88%) thought the domain offers good career prospects, and 79% said the work provides good earning potential. Additionally, of those who said their career progression had met or exceeded expectations, the majority (76%) attributed their success to skill development. Across the globe, 70% of respondents indicated that their work makes them happy, and 69% believe that others experience happiness due to their work.
