Community Forum with The Honorable Daniel A. Clune, U.S. Ambassador to Laos (Lao PDR)

On March 17, 2015, the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans, Saint Paul College and Metropolitan State University will host a community forum featuring the Honorable Daniel A. Clune, the U.S. Ambassador to Lao PDR. This will be Ambassador Clune’s first visit to Minnesota since his appointment by President Barack Obama to his post in August, 2013.

The forum is intended to be an educational opportunity for both Ambassador Clune and Minnesota’s Lao and Hmong communities. Ambassador Clune hopes to directly engage in dialogue with these communities about U.S. foreign policy toward Laos and other issues.

This forum is free and open to the public. We encourage the attendance of our Lao and Hmong American students, community leaders, non-profit organizations, businesses, professionals, scholars, and community members.

Sia Her, Executive Director of the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans, and Commissioner Kevin Lindsey of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights will moderate the forum.

United States Senator Al Franken will address the forum in a video message.

Confirmed honorary guests for the forum are State Senator Foung Hawj, Metropolitan State University President Devinder Malhotra, and Saint Paul College President Rassoul Dastmozd.
