Meditation Practice Group
This weekly drop-in group involves actively attending to, noticing, and focusing in on the present moment, followed by brief discussion. Open to all enrolled students. Meditation is simply a form of contemplation. Over 1,000 scientific studies have found that meditation is beneficial to physical, emotional and mental well-being. The heart of meditation lies in cultivating an ability to re-focus when the mind has drifted. Meditation can be practiced many different ways: Moving or still, in or outside, alone or with a group – anything that allows you to focus your attention on the present moment and release thoughts and feelings as they arise. It is an active process, that can also be relaxing. You don’t need any special gear or beliefs.
