Tom Hillstead has been an instructor in the Cabinetmaking program since 2002. Tom graduated from the Saint Paul College Cabinetmaking program in 1990 and has worked in the industry since then, specializing in both residential and commercial cabinetry. He has always been a woodworker and knows well that sense of accomplishment when a project is completed.  Tom Hillstead and his Cabinetmaking students have worked extensively with the Homeward Bound projects, working alongside carpentry instructors and students. They have helped in remodeling and making the Homeward Bound homes fully accessible to accommodate people with special needs, receiving special honors and recognition from Homeward Bound.
