As the Director of Strategic Planning and Effectiveness, Paula guides the enactment of the strategic plan. She facilitates the college-wide integrated annual planning process to support informed decision-making by the college administration, staff, and faculty that advances the College’s strategic plans, initiatives, and projects. As a higher education professional with proven leadership experience and results in fostering excellence in teaching and learning initiatives that improve student success, she has held significant responsibilities for key strategic initiatives in student success that advanced outcomes in persistence, retention, and completion that crossed multiple operational areas of academics and student development. Paula holds a PhD in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Iowa, a MLS from the University of Maryland College Park, and a BA in Urban Studies, also from the University of Maryland, College Park.
