Ayesha Shariff

Ayesha teaches US History, History of Women in the US, and Contemporary World History at Saint Paul College. She has a B.A. in History and English from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois and received her Ph.D. in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997. Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Paul College in 2005, Ayesha taught at Smith College in Massachusetts and at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Hamline University, Augsburg College, and Normandale Community College in the Twin Cities area. From 1998 to 2003, Ayesha also worked in the field of public history as a museum exhibit developer for the Minnesota Historical Society. She lives in St. Paul with her husband and two sons, who keep her quite busy when she’s not teaching.
