Linda Gill enjoys seeing students reach their potential and embark on a new and fulfilling careers. Trained as a teacher and Sign Language Interpreter, she has over 30 years in the interpreting field as a staff/community interpreter and interpreter trainer. She has been a part of a statewide project focusing on emergency interpreting and a national program that mediates ethical violations for members of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). She has authored several articles for the RID newsletter and coauthored a DVD workbook to enhance interpreter’s skills in the medical setting. She served as the chair for the RID Ethical Practices Committee and coauthored their Ethical Practices Policy Manual. She also enjoyed co-producing a streaming video for RID related to the Ethical Practices System. She continues to be active in the interpreting field by holding an advisory position for a local theatre, mentoring community interpreters and mediation cases for RID.
