Angela Donatelle

Angela Donatelle has been teaching in the Natural Sciences Department at Saint Paul College since 2013. She teaches various courses including Introduction to Geology, Natural Disasters, Energy and the Environment, Contemporary Issues in Science, and Introduction to Oceanography. Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN) in 2005 and a master’s in Geological Sciences from Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI) in 2008. Angela’s research has focused on better understanding the early stages of chemical alteration in minerals from earth rocks and martian meteorites to determine how much water previously existed on the surface of Mars. Angela’s additional interests include better understanding geocognition (how people perceive, understand, learn, and make decisions about the earth and earth systems) and are enthusiastic about helping students see the natural world around them in new and different ways.
