Doug DeRosier has been an instructor in the Auto Body Repair program at Saint Paul College since 1993. His favorite part about teaching is watching the students learn and become successful doing something they enjoy. Doug likes “everything about the subject I teach and I enjoy working on cars and teaching students the trade and seeing them employed doing this.” He belongs to the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers, is ASE-Certified, I-Car certified and is a PPG Master Refinish Technician. He also made a training film for which he was awarded the Saint Paul College Employee Excellence Award. Doug’s expertise goes beyond his excellence in teaching – he has had several of his own cars featured in Rod and Custom and Northern Rodder publications, and has won many awards for the cars he has restored. Doug has a diploma in Auto Body Repair program from Saint Paul College, a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Stout and still does work outside his job as an instructor.
Doug also adds, “We have a one year program that runs all year including summer. We have been successful in employing students and cover all aspects of body repairs including paint body and frame work.”
