Saint Paul College earns national recognition

Saint Paul College–A Community & Technical College announced this week that it ranks in the top 10 of the 50 best community colleges in the United States, according to TheBestSchools.org, placing #9. Four Minnesota schools were featured on the list of the 50 best community colleges, including Alexandria Technical and Community College in Alexandria, Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, and Normandale Community College in Bloomington.

The criteria used to select the schools included: ongoing student success in degree completion and ability to transfer to four-year colleges, student engagement and ability to pursue a variety of areas of study, strong employment rates and salaries after graduation, and reasonable tuition costs and access to financial aid to minimize student debt after graduation.

“I am honored to work with our faculty and staff; they continually excel in their contributions to our students and our college community,” said Saint Paul College president Rassoul Dastmozd. “We are proud of this recognition, and the other national rankings that Saint Paul College has received over the past years.”

Saint Paul College was recognized for its 39 associate degree programs and 60 career certificate and diploma programs, free tutoring, advanced technology to enhance curriculum and learning, transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities, and its Power of YOU scholarship program that provides tuition-free education to qualified students who graduate from Saint Paul or Minneapolis public schools.
